Nourishing The Sacred Feminine I Yoni Steam + Tea Ceremony

  • Pillar of Light 631 4th St. N, #200 St. Petersburg, FL 33701 United States (map)

Come and join Pillar of Light founder, Ashley Smith and certified peristeam specialist, Katy Carlin for an afternoon dedicated to nourishing the Sacred Feminine.

This day was created to offer women time and space to drop in to themselves and be nourished from head to toe. To ensure an intimate and intentional container, space is limited to 5 women. We begin with a meditative and heart healing journey with Sacred Tea Ceremony, a blend of ancient puerh and rose petals will be served to connect each woman to their sacred femininity. There will be a break for women to journal and set intentions, and Katy Carlin will provide a blend of healing herbs for each woman to sit and steam over on their own individual birchwood steams. During the steam each woman will be held and guided through a ceremony of release and remembrance!

About Yoni Steaming

Herbal vaginal steaming is an ancient practice known to be deeply nourishing and supportive for women as a part of many rituals for connecting with the wisdom that resides in the womb, for cleansing, tonifying, and healing our sacred heart center.

The Medicine:
Medicinal steam from the healing herbs warms the inner and outer organs, which helps increase circulation to both the vagina and womb. This increased blood can result in a number of things:

  • It can help rejuvenate the reproductive system through fresh blood supply.

  • It can bring vitality to the internal and external vaginal tissue (think about how great the skin on your face looks after a facial massage — that’s the increased blood flow, and the same thing happens with our vulvas)

  • It can make for greater sensations during sex due to the increase in blood flow.

  • It can carry the medicinal herbs even farther into the body, deep into the pelvic tissue, cervix, womb, and vagina.

  • For new mamas, the increased circulation can help speed up tissue repair necessary after any damage done during labor. *Authors note here, in most Southern and Central American cultures, yoni-steams are done very soon after the birth for healing and toning. In American culture we seldom honor the world-wide ancient wisdom of keeping new mothers warm and moist, massaged with oils, bound with cloths, and her yoni steamed.

About Tea Ceremony

Cha Dao, or Sacred Tea Ceremony is a practice that has its roots in shamanistic Taoism and Zen Buddhism. The earliest written records of Tea describe this plant found in the wild as Medicine that brightened the eyes and opened the Heart. It was domesticated by monks for its ability to support calm and awakened presence and sustain practitioners in extended meditation.

Tea is a plant spirit medicine and comes with her own wisdom and intelligence. The leaves used in our practice are ceremonial grade and come from living trees that are hundreds of years old, meaning that when we sit in ceremony and receive this medicine, we are also drinking in the hundred’s years’ worth of moon, star, and sunshine. This wise medicine always delivers exactly what we need, and every tea sitting is different and offers healing for all people who feel called to receive.

Tea Ceremony is a unique and heartfelt way to come together with meaning and intention. Individuals interested in tea can come for a 1-on-1 sitting, as a couple, with friends, family, for special occasions such as birthday’s, weddings, anniversaries, or added to a retreat, or company event. It is also a powerful ally in supporting and assisting in healing memories and grief.
